wherever you are and whatever your plans are, I hope you have a great
weekend! Here are the highlights from my week.
1. I am so excited to announce that I successfully completed my virtual assist course and am now open for business! My professional website currently is under construction (I am working with the beautifully talented Aubrey Kinch on that side of things), but you can still find all my services and pricing information on the site. If you or any other bloggers, small business owners or online creatives that you know are looking for a virtual assistant, it would be great if you could pass along my name. Anybody interested in hiring me also can email me.
3. I forced myself to get out of my book rut this week (and frankly, my eyes need a break from the computer) and started one that has been sitting on my nightstand for months: Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, which is the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. I’m only a couple chapters in, but so far it is okay. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book, but I couldn’t help but want to read the second one. It’s a good, mindless summer read, and that’s exactly what I need for now.
5. For no explicable reason, I felt compelled to bust out my hot rollers the other day to get some big Texas barbie hair (if you watch LolaMarie7 on YouTube, you’ll understand the reference). Although I much prefer using a curling iron and Velcro rollers, the hot rollers did the trick in half the amount of time. Oh, and I’m wearing the Tarte foundation that I’ve been raving about in this picture. My face is even a bit broken out right now, but can you tell? Nope! That stuff is a miracle worker.
