October Beauty Favorites

It’s time for another month of beauty favorites! I have lots of products to discuss this go-around, including new and rediscovered favorites, so let’s jump into it.

Inglot Blush #28 – I have been enamored with my Inglot Freedom System Blush Palette since I picked it up during our trip to Las Vegas. I practically solely wore blush #28 all month long! I was worried that it was going to be too light based on how it looks in the pan, but it’s the perfect light to medium shade with a neutral undertone. Any recent photos that you’ve seen of me on the blog, I’m most likely wearing this blush.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup – Well, did this little bottle of foundation sure change my mind. When I initially picked it during one of my many Target hauls, it slipped off my face within a couple hours and made me look like an oil slick. Now that the weather is cooler, it’s much more agreeable to my dry skin, and it really does give my skin a healthy glow throughout the day. When set with the Airspun translucent powder, I don’t even have to blot or touch up until mid- to late-afternoon. For reference, I wear shade #60 Natural Beige.

bareMinerals Concealer in Summer Bisque – I’ve been a longtime user of this product, but I felt like it deserved a special shout-out this month. I forget what great coverage this product provides under my eyes when I don’t feel like applying my liquid under eye concealer, and I’ve even been using it to give a little extra coverage to some blemishes and problem areas on my skin.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Obsession, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in Rossetto and L’Oreal Parish Colour Riche leGloss in Nude Touch – I wrote a whole post about how this combination of products gives me a perfect nude pout. That hasn’t changed, and I wear these products almost daily!

bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow “The Truth” Palette – This is a rediscovered favorite in my collection. I tend to always wear neutral eye shadows, but I usually want a little more oomph during this time of year. This palette provides a perfect range of taupey-brown shades, and they each have a hint of shimmer in them without looking overly glittery on the eyelids. My favorite shadow of the bunch is Magnetism (top right) – I’ve been blending this with my ring finger all over my lid and up into the crease.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Blonde – I’ve also had this product in my collection for quite some time, but since I almost always use a pencil or Benefit’s Gimme Brow, I rarely ever reach for this. However, I was feeling lazy one day and decided I just wanted to swipe some powder onto my brows to clean them up – this certainly did the trick! It provides an even more natural finish than Gimme Brow and is great for those days when you don’t want to work too hard at your brows.

CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Eyeliner in Black/Brown – An oldie but a goodie; I will never get enough of this liquid eyeliner. It’s easy to use for those, like me, who find liquid liner difficult to apply, and the color payoff and lasting power gets me through a whole day. That’s all I need!

Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Rosepearl – I love this lip product for this time of year. It’s neutral with the slightest tint of rose gold. It looks great layered over a neutral lipstick, but it’s also pigmented enough to wear on it’s own. Not to mention it makes your lips look full and glossy.

All great products! I always feel like in the fall/winter I have to switch up some of my makeup since it goes from being super humid to dry here. Love all of your nude lip products!!

  • No one does brows like Anastasia. I use her pencil.

  • Great picks- I love Bare Minerals shadows, so I'm going to need to check out that palette!

  • That blush palette is sooo pretty! I really like the sound of that foundation- my skin is a lot more dry lately and I haven't been able to find anything that works that matches my skin and that I actually like!

I've been using bareMinerals for years but have never tried the concealer. Glad to hear it provides good coverage. And that blush palette is gorg!

  • I tried the neutrogena foundation this summer too with no luck. It sounds like I need to give it another try this winter though. And I really need to try that Bareminerals concealer. Good picks! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • I really like that bareMinerals eyeshadow palette, very pretty! I will have to check it out sometime along with those Inglot products. I hope that you are having a great day so far! 🙂

  • That palette always catches my eye when I'm in Sephora, taupes are definitely my weakness. I need to go check out those lip colours and that blush asap!

  • Can you believe I've never tried a single product on this list?!? That needs to change ASAP!

  • I agree with you – my skin has been so up and down lately, so I'm still trying to find the right combination that agrees with my dry winter skin!

  • I've had that Revlon gloss for so long – it was a recommendation from Emily from Beauty Broadcast. It's such a beautiful color. Thanks for hosting the linkup!

  • Thanks for trusting me! 🙂 I really think you'll love the blush – it's become a quick favorite of mine!

  • You would LOVE Inglot – the quality of the products is on another level. The blushes are ridiculously pigmented.

  • I couldn't agree with you more!

  • It's a fabulous palette for the fall weather – I'm glad I came across it again my collection!

  • You should try it out – it really changed my mind since my skin is more dry than oily now. It leaves a beautiful finish on the skin!

  • Thanks, girl!

  • It really does provide great coverage considering it's a loose powder product – I also own the shade Well Rested that really brightens up the under eye area.

  • I gave the Neutrogena foundation another shot just because I hate buying foundation and then leaving the full bottle untouched in my vanity for months. I'm glad I did, though! It definitely works better on drier skin.

  • It's a great eyeshadow palette – the color payoff is fantastic!

  • You would love the eye palette solely for the taupe color – it's my favorite! You know how much I love those lip colors, you definitely should try 'em. 🙂

  • Um, yes. It needs to change immediately! I recommend a little drugstore haul in your near future when you need a break from being a new puppy mom. 🙂

  • I love those bareminerals eyeshadow palettes! Those colors looks like some that I'd love. And I haven't heard of the Revlon lip gloss but I love the Colorburst lipsticks so I'm sure I'd love that!

  • And thanks for linking up, Karly!

  • I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't fill in/touch their eyebrows. Thinking I should give it a go with either the Benefit or Anastasia product!

  • My Sephora shopping cart is full and ready to go for tomorrow…..top of my list is getting a full sized NARS bronzer in laguna!

  • I'm still loving that blush palette. Too bad I was so busy while I was in Vegas, I didn't even think to go check out that store, but it's super gorgeous and it looks like your getting tons of great use out of it. I've heard great things about the Anastasia brow products, but have never given them a try myself. Right now I use a Bare Minerals brow powder that I have and it works quite well for the occasions that I do use it. Great round up!
