February Beauty Favorites

It’s only fitting that for the short month of February that I only had a few favorite beauty products.

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray | As I mentioned in my last beauty empties post, I’m thrilled that drugstore brands are finally releasing setting sprays. This one in particular is an exact dupe for the Urban Decay setting sprays at half the cost (around $13.99 if you don’t have a coupon). I use a setting spray both before and after I apply my liquid face products, kind of like a primer, and I haven’t had any issues with makeup wearing off during the day or having to touch-up with powder. I highly recommend this product if you’re new to setting sprays or are looking for a drugstore alternative to the higher-end products.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in 235 Warm Me Up | You guys – this is the PERFECT shade of lipstick. I imagine it would look good on nearly anybody. It’s the ultimate your-lips-but-better color – it’s not quite pink, but not quite nude, just somewhere perfectly in between.

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Privee Lipstick in 600 Doutzen’s Nude | I believe this collection of lipsticks has been out for quite some time, but it randomly caught my eye at Target one day with the advertisement of all their famous spokeswomen. I’d been looking for a light baby doll-pink lipstick, and this one inspired by Doutzen Kroes fits the bill. If I want just a sheer swipe of lipstick, I’ll wear this on it’s own; otherwise, it can be layered with a light pink liner and a sheer gloss for an extra pop.

Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner Pencil | Unless I’m going out or it’s a special occasion, I haven’t been wearing much eyeshadow. Instead, I’ve opted for this creamy liner smudged into my top lashes for a bit of definition and drama. It requires minimal effort on my end, but it still looks like I made an effort.

American Eagle Outfitters Vintage Perfume | I’ve had a rollerball of this perfume for a few years, and it has become one of my all-time favorite scents for the fall and winter months. The best way that I can describe it is that it smells just like the store itself, but with a little bit more musk. Ryan surprised me with a full bottle of it for Valentine’s Day (even though we said no gifts …), and I’ve been wearing it everyday since.

What were your favorite beauty products during February?

I am definitely going to have to try that setting spray and that gorgeous pink/nude lip color! So perfect for spring! I've never smelt that AE perfume but I'm going to have to next time I'm in the store. Great picks girl!

Thank you for telling me about the setting spray and yes I'm so happy that drug store brands are jumping on the band wagon!! I do get the travel size of the UD and it's actually the same price 🙂 I didn't even know AE had a perfume but if it's anything like the cult favorite of Abercrombie back in the day I'm sure it's amazing! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  • I'm going to have to pick up that setting spray, I love my Urban Decay products but since I've never used a setting spray that sounds like the one to give a try without spending too much!

  • That Maybelline lipstick sounds like a nice color. Funny how it looks red in your picture though! I like the sound of the Loreal one as well. Thanks for sharing your reviews!! 🙂

  • I've been skipping the eyeshadow too now that I'm mostly at home! It's just so much work when no one is going to see it, haha. Can't believe that perfume bottle is from AE – it's gorgeous!

I am going to check out that Maybelline lipstick, I've been looking for something in that color!

I am so glad that you
talked about the setting spray. I had it in the cart but couldn't commit…. Now I can!

  • Tiffany {A Touch of Grace}

Ok, I"ll have to try that L'Oreal setting spray next. I just got the NYX one and really like it as well. Love that lip stick. Gorgeous color! And I had no idea AE had perfume!

I'm stocked up on UD Setting spray, but will definitely be trying the L'Oreal one after, I have heard only positive! And so much cheaper 🙂

  • Stopping by from the link up to check out your Feb. faves! Thanks for sharing your beauty finds! I've never used a setting spray. This sounds fabulous, especially at half the price of Urban Decay! Note taken. 😉 Thanks for the recommendation, Karly!

  • This product junkie LOVES these types of posts! I am going to have to check out that L'Oreal lipstick. I love the packaging!

  • AE actually has quite a few perfumes now! They just released a new one that I'm anxious to test out, too, but I LOVE the Vintage scent.

  • Yes, it's a great dupe to the UD ones!

  • You're right, it did turn out a little red in the photo! I promise you it's not, though. 🙂

  • Yes, definitely try it! You won't regret it.

  • Yes! You can't beat the price. 🙂

  • I'm all out of my UD spray and going to pick up that L'oreal one this weekend! Thanks for the rec lady!

  • I will have to try that setting spray! I have never tried one because they are expensive and I didn't know if they would work with my skin type. I have oily skin and I don't like feeling oily or sticky!

  • Jen

Great round up! I'm adding the setting spray and that nude lip color to my next drug store haul. I have been meaning to try a setting spray but could never justify the price for the Urban Decay one.

  • I've been so curious about that setting spray, and you've convinced me. Once I'm out of my skindinavia ones the L'oreal one is next on my list! Doutzen's Nude looks so pretty, I bet it looks amazing on you!

  • Isn't warm me up so pretty? I love wearing it with Eastend Snob. The setting spray sounds so nice, I've still never tried a spray as a primer, but the one from L'Oreal sounds like a good option.

  • That vintage perfume bottle is amazing! Love that lip color.

  • Jessica

Your beauty favorites are ones I have never tried! Maybe a trip to the drug store is in the near future!

  • I think you'll love the scent of the perfume – it seriously smells just like the store!

  • Isn't it gorgeous?! It looks so high end.

  • Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way! The bottle of perfume is so pretty – looks much more high end than just being from AE!

  • It would be a beautiful color on you!

  • The NYX setting spray also is a good drugstore one – I've been happy with both! And, yes – AE has quite a few perfumes … I don't shop there for clothes anymore, but I love all the scents!

  • Yes! The packaging was pretty much what drew me to it in the first place – it looks so luxe!

  • It smells SO good!

  • Thanks for stopping over, Brenda! Yes, you really can't go wrong with the L'Oreal setting spray. I swear it's the exact same thing as the UD setting spray and at half the cost.

  • Absolutely! The drugstore is just brimming with fantastic products right now. Let me know if you go and pick up anything!

  • I'm glad you found this helpful, and hopefully you enjoy these products if you pick them up!
