A Dress to Beat the Heat

How do I even dare say this … the recent onset of HOT temps in the Midwest have been almost unbearable. I know, I know – we complain all winter how cold it is and how we can’t wait for the hot weather, but this heat mixed with extreme humidity makes it pretty difficult to do anything outside, including getting dressed. Not that I get dressed outside, but you get where I’m going.

This dress from Old Navy has been an essential wardrobe item throughout the past few weeks – it’s easy breezy, lightweight and chambray. Who can say no to a summer chambray dress these days? Certainly not me. Plus, it has pockets, which makes it a bit more fun and casual for everyday wear. The only downside of this dress is the neckline because it makes picking out undergarments a bit tricky; however, I have two words for all of you – stick-on bra. ‘Nuff said.
