Friday Confessions and Ramblings

TGIF! I admit that my creative well is a bit dried up this week, but I also love to sit down and write whatever currently is on my mind. So, let’s kick off the weekend with some Friday confessions and ramblings.

Friday Confessions and Ramblings

All outfit details (exact and similar) can be found here!

| I (think) I mentioned a while back that we are considering trading in our Canon t5i DSLR for something a bit lighter/travel-friendly. I couldn’t have found this post at a better time because now we’re leaning toward the Canon G7X. I love that I wouldn’t have to worry about packing two separate lenses, and hello Wi-Fi capability! Sure, it supposedly doesn’t have the BEST picture quality but I don’t care. Nobody is visiting my little space of the Web for great pictures anyway. 😉

| I’m considering this backpack as a new travel/carry-on bag. Thoughts?

| My next 5k is on the calendar! (You can read about my first 5k experience here!) Admittedly, I didn’t waste much time looking for my next race because I want to keep up the motivation at the gym. It’s much easier when you’re working toward an end-goal. Besides wanting to look good in a bikini on the beach in Florida in two months … yikes, don’t remind me.

| Want to know my new secret for hitting my steps every day? I park my new car in the furthest spot possible in any store parking lot. I’m not taking any risks quite yet – I don’t want someone to ding it!

| I already fell back in love with American Eagle jeans, now their denim shorts are my jam, too! Thanks to Lindsay for recommending these distressed winners. I went with a size 4, and they fit great. I probably could’ve even sized up to a 6, but they do stretch so I didn’t want anything too baggy. If you’re on the fence because of the button-up fly, have no fear. I can get these on/off with only undoing the top two buttons. The things we do to avoid annoying inconveniences, right?

| It has become SO fun to share makeup/beauty stuff over on Instagram stories. A lot of you have given me such great feedback on it, too which I really appreciate. Expect that to continue for the foreseeable future, and I will be filming some tutorials for the blog soon!

| I’m getting the itch to cut my hair again IN A BIG WAY … but, then I remind myself how miserable I usually am when I do cut it. So, I think I’m going to opt for a slightly different blonde color at my next appointment. I’m feeling like it’s a bit blown out/over-processed right now anyway. Check out my Pinterest board for some inspiration. This beauty gives me all the heart eyes.

| This song, though. Can’t. stop. listening. I think it has such a good and fun beat.

Alright, I’ll cut off my Friday confessions and ramblings before this turns into a novel. We’re headed off to our first experience at the Wisconsin State Fair today – give me all the fair food and people watching!

Have a great weekend, everybody!

I’ve wanted to do a backpack for travel for some time, but haven’t yet! My friend has a great tumi one she takes everywhere!! Have a great weekend! xo, Biana-BlovedBoston

    • I ordered the one that I linked, so I’ll let you know how I like it. I think it’ll be great for travel!

  • So glad you love the shorts! Thanks for the shout out!! You’ll have to let me know how you like that camera if you get it. I feel like my Nikon DSRL is also pretty bulky! Would love one more compact for traveling.

  • Thanks for sharing that camera article! Going to check that out now! I love backpacks & picked up the Sole Society one in the NSale for this fall/winter. So nice for traveling! Have fun at the fair!

I can’t believe you’re thinking of cutting your hair again! I say don’t do it! The backpack is really cute, looks great for traveling. Enjoy the fair today and all the food!

  • Yay for another 5k, so exciting! And you now have me so intrigued to try out AE jeans and shorts. Happy Friday gurlie <3

  • oh gosh. i think races are a better end goal than looking good on a beach anyway. the beach/bikini one always stresses me out but the races motivate me. my next race is in november, plenty of time lol. i’m getting my hair cut next week and i can’t wait. i never thought i’d be sick of ‘long’ hair (mine isn’t *that* long) but i am! that backpack is super cute, you should totally get it.

    • Yay for a haircut! How short are you going to go? Shoulder length? Your hair always looks good. I got the backpack! I found it at Urban Outfitters in a cuter color and on sale. Score.

      • yep! maybe a bit longer, as long as i can pull it in a ponytail or bun!

  • I’ve always loved American Eagle. They’re comfy. Hey, I like your outfit here. Happy weekend!

  • So glad you found some shorts you like. That is always my biggest struggle. And I love looking at hair cuts. Need to check out your board!

  • Ahhh I do hope some video tutorials are headed this way! that makes me super excited. Also, love that backpack. I’ve been eyeing some simple ones to replace my day-to-day purse lately.

    • Oh good! Several people said on Instagram that they wanted videos, but I’m still never quite sure. Hopefully that’s coming soon!
