I’ve been a huge fan of the evian Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray* for years. When I lived at home with my parents, my mom always would keep a bottle in the fridge during the summer for a quick, cooling pick-me-up. As I’ve experimented with this classic product throughout the years, I’ve found that it has a variety of uses when it comes to applying or touching up makeup.

Touch up dry skin patches. We all know how annoying it is when you discover pesky dry patches on your skin after you’ve applied your makeup. My trick? Lightly spray a cotton ball with the mineral water facial spray, and dab the cotton ball directly onto the dry patch. This will help moisturize and smooth out the dry skin, allowing you to reapply concealer or powder as necessary instead of redoing a whole face of makeup.

Create eyeliner from a powder eye shadow. Regular liquid liner tends to look too hard on my eyelids since they are slightly hooded, so I typically use a powder eye shadow instead for a softer look. Whether you use a pointed Q-Tip (not the ones pictured above – I didn’t have any pointed ones on-hand!) or a small eyeliner brush, spray a bit of the mineral water spray onto your tool of choice before dipping it into the eyeshadow to help achieve a more precise line along your lashes.

Intensify glitter or foil powder eye shadows. As much as I love the shadow Sidecar from the original Urban Decay Naked palette, I can’t stand the amount of fallout that occurs while applying it or the lack of pigmentation – probably because half of it ends up on my face instead of my eyelids. An easy solution is to spray a flat shadow brush with the mineral spray water before dipping it into any shadow that has a lot of fall out or that you want to intensify, and then pat – not sweep – the product onto your lid. You’ll be amazed at how little fall out there will be and how vibrant the shadow will look on your lids.

Very cool! I've never hear or even seem this now that I think about it! I love the idea of keeping it in the fridge, but I do live in San Francisco and it rarely gets warm enough for that!
