Thanks to blogs and Pinterest, it’s really hard to claim ownership of anything “original” these days. I get so many comments on our home and decor style, and while some of it I did come up with myself, nine times out of 10 I probably found a picture and copied it the best I could! That’s why I thought it would be fun to share a quick post about my 3 favorite blogs for farmhouse decor inspiration. I reference these blogs weekly – sometimes even daily! – when I’m feeling stuck on something in our own home. They each have their own unique style but best represent the overall cozy, farmhouse feeling that I try to achieve in each of our rooms.
I’ve been sharing more scenes from around our own home over on Instagram. I made this sign all on my own!
Love Grows Wild | I was a little late to the game with Liz’s blog, but now it’s my go-to source for everything and anything farmhouse-related. Even if you’re not into farmhouse style, you’ll enjoy the clean lines and light and bright decor. I received Liz’s newly-released book for Christmas, and it’s basically the holy grail for any farmhouse lover or DIY enthusiast. A majority of my favorite recent posts were rounded up in her best of 2016, so be sure to check it out!
Little Vintage Nest | An 80’s fixer upper transformed into a charming farmhouse? Hmm … that sounds familiar! 😉 Seriously, though – Sarah’s blog is easy to relate to. Everything that she shares is accessible and relatively affordable. She recently wrote a post about where to find affordable vintage decor, and it opened up a whole new world to me on Amazon. Who knew?!
Liz Marie Blog | No farmhouse decor inspiration post would be complete without including this gem. Since Liz Marie lives in an actual rustic farmhouse, this site is more of an escape for me. It’s fun to think about living in a similar house someday and to follow along with all their renovations. My favorite posts of hers are shopping roundups, including affordable chunky wool blankets and gift guide for farmhouse lovers. Also, anyone up for a road trip to Michigan to visit her shop? I’m kinda dying to go.
