Happy Monday, and happy first day of spring! While the season hasn’t yet sprung outside, I’m confident that the official calendar day will help move things along. At the very least, we know that daily warmer weather and sunshine is in the inevitable future so we can look forward to that and be excited! I always enjoy putting together a to-do list at the start of a new season, so I want to share my top 8 spring 2017 bucket list with you today.
Finish our master bedroom renovation. No shock here that this is first on my list! The room is painted, new baseboards and crown molding are installed, and all our new furniture is purchased. We listed our current furniture set on Craigslist, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a quick sell. Once that is out and the new furniture is set up, it’s time to decorate!
Find a local tulip festival and/or display. I always kick myself for not making it to the annual Tulip Festival in Pella, Iowa, when we lived near there. So now, I’m determined to find a similar event in our local area! There’s nothing like bright, colorful tulips to get into the warm weather spirit.
Go to a flea market. Considering what a farmhouse decor junkie that I am, it’s hard to believe that I’ve never been to a flea market. They look so fun! I’d love to score some unique, vintage goods and try my hand at bargaining with the vendors.
Donate to Goodwill. It’s about time that we get the massive pile of crap (what hopefully will be someone’s treasure!) out of our basement. Our local Goodwill is right down the street, so there’s no excuse to finally take care of this.
Start a new exercise class. Even though I exercise regularly, I still have failed to find a group class to get involved with. The classes that I’m interested in never seem to have ideal times available that work with my schedule. However, I think I’m just going to suck it up and make it work.
Find the perfect pair of white skinnies. Anybody else struggle with this? Or have any suggestions? I’m all ears! This pair from Old Navy is on my radar since they are high waist.
Put together photo books. While I was sick, I took advantage of the downtime to put together a photo book of our recent trip to Florida. It was so fun and not even that time-consuming! It gave me the motivation to get books together from our other vacations and recent yearly memories. I use Mpix, and I can’t recommend the site enough. Affordable, good quality and easy to use.
Start to plan our road trip to Waco, Texas. We haven’t 100% yet committed to this trip, but I hope that if we sit down to do some planning that it will become a reality! I’m not the biggest fan of being in the car for extended periods of time, but having our car for this trip equals more shopping. Sarah’s recent posts with highlights from her trip is loaded with tips and suggestions, so planning doesn’t seem so daunting.
There it is – my top 8 spring 2017 bucket list! Help keep me accountable on all this, will ya? 😉
